It looks wonderful; I love a walk on an empty, cold beach. It's very peaceful.

Looks remarkably like a beach I used to live near. God, I love the Northeast.

Looks like heaven. I've never been to that part of the country but would love to some day. We have a little slice of paradise like that on the banks of Pudget Sound just south of Seattle.

This is too funny. Your picture was taken right in front of my house on New Silver Beach. My family has been coming down to New Silver for as long as I can remember. I love good ole New Silver.

New Silver Beach is a way of life not just a beach. It is comprised of a neighborhood of several hundred families who live for the beach and can't wait for the summer. Its children, parents, grandparents and grand children piled up on each other at the edge of the water. Its 100 little blondes, boys and girls, running all over the beach having a blast with their parents, who used to be little blonds, chasing them pulling the sand out of their mouths or rescuing them from the water.
You have to see it to believe it.

I totally agree. And you know, in the winter, it is paradise, also. Very quiet and desolate, but all of those summer memories dashing around, still playing!

My family has owned a cottage at New Silver since 1950.

I have visited some of the most beautiful beaches in the world but none so special as new Silver.

The house is going on the market. it's sad but I have lived in California now since 75 and I only get back every 2 to 3 years
