iPod

I broke down last week and bought an iPod.  I kept looking at all of the mp3 players out there and trying to decide which one to get.  I figured if I was going to spend the money for the ones that I decided were what I liked I might as well get an iPod.  So far it's been a lot of fun.  It reminds me a lot of having a Barbie doll as a kid though.  You (I) want to keep getting accessories for it.  Now I spend my time up/downloading music.  It's fun. And, the bonus is, everything I listen to, I like!

I haven't checked my site in awhile and all of a sudden I see some my pictures aren't showing.  What's up with that? Sigh...

They're all anti-george shots - toilet paper, etc.  NSA involvement?  Hmmm...

Oh, The Cold!

I was in Chicago a few days ago.  There was a death in the family, so it was a sad trip and it was darn cold!  The temperature wasn't so bad until the wind was blowing and then I was chilled to the bone.  I don't handle death well, either and it's one of those things I'd stumble over my words talking about.  It just causes uncomfortable chain reactions to go off inside of me.

I did get to see my sister-in-law and my niece, whom I love, so that's a good thing.  Actually, Mike and I got to see most of his family, just under bad conditions.  We also stayed with good friends of ours who were nice enought to take us in at the eleventh hour.

It was a quick trip in and out of the city.  We were glad to get home.

First Day, Third Time

Yesterday marked two years blogging.  Since  I don't visit many sites anymore, and since I've been venting my american idiot frustrations I've gotten a lot of hits.  No comments, but a lot of hits.  All day, all hours. 

Please!!!  You can all comment whenever you'd like.  I like comments.  But, if you just want to stop by and read the comix, that's why they are there.  (And, so I can vent.)  If I stop writing, I'm probably in "camp" playing volleyball with my other "venters".

At least sign my guest map, which is off to the right side and tell me if you come here more than once.  :)  Okay, I'm pandering...

December Already!

December already!  Where are the days going.  I put up the tree today.  It's not the same as when the kids were little.  It use to be such a big deal.  Now it has to be decorated.  It's about time to start using the small tree we had as a secondary tree when the kids were little.  Next year...

Lisa, Karen and I made Christmas cookies last night.  It was fun, but they're almost already gone.  I still have a batch to roll out, cut, and bake, because we doubled the recipe.  We've already made (and eaten) about 4 dozen.  It's just such a great recipe! Every year we make them.  These cookies are a family tradition.  If anyone wants the recipe, you'll love them!

My broadband connection has been awful for the last few weeks.  Every time I get online either I can't even sign on, my connection fades in and out, or it's slower than dial-up.  It's been so frustrating I've about given up.  I've called Comcast a few times, but they never fix it.  My brother is having the same problem at his house, which is a few blocks away.  That's why I'm not posting, if anyone cares.

Next week is Fantasy Fest.  I can't wait to get "out of Dodge".  We are taking the ferry down to Key West, so there is no driving.  Yippee!!  There are a bunch of people going, so we should have fun.  Our hotel room is full and right near the Southernmost Point, so there won't be too much walking.  I need the break!

I'm so glad my internets is working tonight.
